ABOUT MAYA

Hi! My name is Maya Nakara Sruoch, I am a Makeup Artist and Creative Storyteller. I aim to change the world through the empowerment of beauty and innovation. I hope to inspire others to do the same.

I truly have always been an advocate for expressing and achieving your highest self. For me, that was through creative expression. Whether it be video editing, photography, fashion, creative writing, or collaging. I chose makeup as a way to express myself because it allows me to transform into who I am or who I want to be in the moment, along with my muses. I can dress it up, dress it down, take it off,  and not take life or my image too seriously. My love for makeup started in 2016, where I began my Youtube channel and literally learned the ins and outs as I went. I had no idea what I was doing or how to even apply makeup. I shared and continue to share my growth for the world to see, and I wouldn't want it any other way! I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School, where I became Makeup Certified and later received my Cosmetology license. Soon after my beauty school journey, I worked as a beauty consultant and freelancer with MAC Cosmetics, where I underwent Artist Training. In 2019, my skills led me to an assisting position with Patrick Ta. I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to work with amazing people and brands along the ride. Fast forward to present day, I continue to Freelance for passion projects, bridal, beauty campaigns, creative photoshoots, music videos and more. 

 As with anything, the Beauty/Makeup Industry has changed not only in visibility and reach, but also in the way we communicate. I believe that there are no barriers in beauty and there are no boundaries that shouldn't be explored.

Social media has been my medium of choice for growing and telling my audience who I am, as well as the products and values that I bring. In my work you will find a celebration of my own coming of age as a woman, along with individuality & authenticity. I hope my story ignites something in you to pursue your passions and what you truly wish to go after in life.
